“This is my second time at the Lazy CK.  I got my first archery whitetail here, actually my first animal of any kind here with a bow. My buck was truly handsome!  Frankly I can hardly wait to get the mount of my buck back from The Wildlife Gallery.  The following morning I caped my buck, and then properly took care of the meat, which I could hardly wait to serve to my family and friends.  To me Axis provide some of the finest and tastiest venison in the entire world.

Before leaving the Lazy CK, I met with Travis about future hunts there, for blackbuck antelope, fallow deer, as well as returning later this fall to try to rattle in some of their big whitetail bucks….

Can’t say enough about the Lazy CK and the staff. “Amazing” is the first word that comes to mind. our entire experience was nothing short of phenomenal. This was my 14-year-old son’s first guided hunt. He loved it!!! It was a first-time experience and he got a little down at first with not killing anything on the first few hunts but he ended up killing an older but nice axis. He is ready to come back and hunt a blackbuck now. His favorite part was stalking 3 axis on our second day through the wood line. The cabins were nice and cozy. The chef cooked some great food! The manager and guide was very nice. Our guide, Andre, was very nice and patient and encouraged my son as well.

As big and as beautiful as the Lazy CK Ranch is, it’s the number and quality of game animals that impress me most. They’ve taken great care to build a hunting experience very rare for North America. Guides are top-notch and staying there is really more like staying at a resort than a ranch. You could probably spend more elsewhere, but I don’t how you could do better.

“I just completed my second successful trip to the Tom Miranda bow camp at the Lazy CK. It was GREAT! Both Trips I harvested two animals with my bow. There were so many possibility’s for harvesting animals, on both hunts I changed the species I was hunting due to opportunity’s that arose. I have been on several hunting trips at different camps. Three of my animals were spot and stalk and 1 was from a stand. They are prepared to meet your desires.

Lazy CK has been the best Texas hunting ranch I have experienced. It’s the only one that is set up for bow hunters that I have attended. Some of the others have a few stands and call themselves bowhunter friendly, but the CK hits the mark. What Tom, Alan, Will and Zack have done is created something special for bowhunters. When you are in bow camp, their are only bowhunters. The camaraderie and friendships made are lasting. I want to end by saying that the CK has the best Guides, Cooks, and host, you could ever ask for. The facilities are amazing. I have made to memories that will be everlasting. I look forward to my next rip there.”

I can say without reservation that the Lazy CK Ranch has the best white-tailed deer herd that I’ve seen on any ranch in the Texas Hill Country—and, in my 23 years as a ranch real estate broker, I’ve seen a lot of ranches. Had a great time hunting with a good buddy on our recent trip this weekend. The ranch is the best Texas hunting ranch I have hunted on. The game management truly shows all sorts of amazing exotics, HUGE whitetail, and top-notch accommodations. Dee and his staff out there are absolutely amazing, guides are very knowledgeable and catering, and on top of all that Dee’s wife cooks amazing dishes. This ranch caters to all and will spoil you.
